Alma 1:26 And when the priests left their labor to impart the word of God unto the people, the people also left their labors to hear the word of God. And when the priest had imparted unto them the word of God they all returned again diligently unto their labors; and the priest, not esteeming himself above his hearers, for the preacher was no better than the hearer, neither was the teacher any better than the learner; and thus they were all equal, and they did all labor, every man according to his strength.
This scripture is referenced in Elder David A Bednar's May 2010 conference talk, "Watching With All Perseverance". In the context of Elder Bednar's talk, he was comparing parents and children as both being learners of the gospel, when parents and children can search the scriptures together, to find answers to questions. My son is only 6 years old, and he alraedy asks me scripture questions that sometimes I don't know the answers to (embarrassing, yes). But this was a good reminder to me that it is a great learning opportunity for everyone involved when we can search out answers together.

We shouldn't feel embarrassed when we don't know an answer! Life is a learning process and we all are constantly learning. How wonderful that your son was able to help you learn something that day.
