3 Nephi 13:20-21 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
3 Nephi 13:33-34 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient is the day unto the evil thereof.
Have you ever noticed the days when you study your scriptures and take the time to say your prayers, you get a lot more done in the day, and you feel a lot less stressed about it? And in contrast, on the days where you don't invest time in studying scriptures, and taking care of spiritual matters, you are more stressed, seem to have less time in the day, and you don't get even a fraction of the things done on your "to do" list?
I think these scriptuers sum it up beautifully - "seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you". Our God is a loving God - He is a god of miracles (which means He can add hours to our day! :). If we focus on the kingdom of God - reading scriptures, saying prayers, holding family home evenings, doing family history work, going to the temple (or preparing to go to the temple) - if we take some time out of every day to do some of these things - we will find greater peace in our lives, and everything else will 'magically' fall into place.
I pray we can all make time to seek first the kingdom of God!
Love,
Terri
