The book of Proverbs, written by King Solomon; is just chuck full of words of wisdom. I'd like to share just a few of my favorite bits of sage advice contained in that wonderful book in the Bible.
Proverbs 3:13
"Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding."
Proverbs 4:23
"Keep thy heart with all dilligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
Proverbs 6:16-19
"These are six things doth the Lord hate. . .: A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief; a false witness that speaketh lies. . ."
Proverbs 9:10
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the holy is understanding."
Proverbs 10:8-9
"The wise in heart will receive commandments; but a prating fool shall fall."
"He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known."
Proverbs 11:4
"Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death."
Your time is well spent when you read and PONDER the Book of Proverbs.
