THE LORD ALERTS US TO DANGERS

Throughout the scriptures, we are alerted to the dangers all around us and we are reassured that the Lord will always, always help us if we are obedient to His commandments.

Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles reminded us of this in his October conference talk: "The Lord has not left us alone in our quest to return to Him. Listen to His warning words alerting us to the dangers ahead:"
1. "Take. . .heed, watch and pray." (Mark 13:33)
2. "Beware lest ye. . .be deceived." (D&C 46:8)
3. "Be watchful and careful." (D&C 42:76)
4. "Beware lest ye also. . .fall from your own steadfastness." (2 Peter 3:17)

As we read and study the scriptures, we should look for key words such as "heed", "beware", "watch". When we see these words, the Lord is sending us a warning and is trying to protect us.

Love, Kathi
