ENDURING

(2 Nephi 31:15) "And I heard a voice from the Father, saying: Yea, the words of my Beloved are true and faithful. He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved."

(2 Nephi 31:20) "Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life."

If you are anything like me, enduring is one of those virtures you seriously wonder about. As you are struggling with your children throughout their childhood, their youth, their teenage years, and their young adulthood, you wonder if you can endure all the things you must do until they are contributing, responsible adults who are strong in the gospel of Jesus Christ. As you build your career, your financial stability, your family relationships, you wonder if you will be able to endure all the challenges you encounter and still remain strong and active in the gospel. As you develop in the gospel, you wonder if you have the strength and the tenacity to endure all the demands the church places on you. Then, you read the above scripture and realize everything you endure will be worth it in the end.
