Alma 37:6-7 Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise. And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls.
It can be overwhelming to think about all of the problems in the world, and to wonder how it is even possible for us to make a difference for the better. But I love this scripture because it explains the Lord's work is accomplished through small and simple things. It is possible for us to make a difference, to be a vessel for the Lord.
We need to pray for inspiration on how to do the Lord's work; when we follow the guidance we receive, those small and simple acts we perform will lead to great and magnificent things the Lord has planned.
